Fun Lesson Activity about The Clouded Leopard

This activity will involve kids coloring their own clouded leopard while, at the same time, learning a few fun facts about them. First, give each child a piece of white construction paper as well as various other colors. Ask them to draw and cut out the body, head, legs, and tail of a clouded leopard and glue them onto the white sheet of construction paper. Tell them that the tail should be long, which clouded leopards use to balance, and the paws big, which are used to help them climb. They should also cut out spots to glue onto the body of their clouded leopard. Then, tell them to draw on the face and long, sharp claws. Give the children markers to color their clouded leopard, if needed. Once they have all finished their clouded leopard, share a few additional facts about clouded leopards with them. For example, the large spots on the leopard help it camouflage. Or list prey of clouded leopards. Then, ask them to draw something in the background that represents something they learned. For example, they could draw a mountain to represent the fact that clouded leopards are good climbers.
